The narrower front tooth just beside the lower left central incisor.
- In front: #24 lower left central incisor
- Behind: #22 lower left canine
- Same tooth on the other side: #26 lower right lateral incisor
- Bites against: #10 upper left lateral incisor
It replaces the lower left baby lateral incisor (N), which falls out at 7–8 years.

This tooth is #23 in the US and 32 in the international (FDI) system, where the 3 means the lower left quarter and the 2 is its place counting from the front.
In the international system, 23 is the upper left canine (#11).
And in the US, #32 is the lower right wisdom tooth.
